9/10/15:
When you completed your jigsaw notes yesterday on Chapter 2: Economic Systems, you learned what the word "capitalism" means. Please answer the following question in the blog:
If the United States operated as pure capitalism, what changes might occur?
Remember: Respond in at least 2 complete sentences, and double check your spelling and grammar.
If the U.S. operated under pure capitalism, the government would disassociate themselves from business. The people would be free to control the economy. It would most likely be chaos. People are stupid.
ReplyDeleteIf the United States operated as capitalism would be more money. They would gain more wealth to the communities and world wide.
ReplyDeleteKasey,
DeleteGood start. Watch spelling. I'm not sure if they would gain more wealth.
We wouldn't have the police stations of firefighters or even hospitals that we need for emergencies.
ReplyDeleteThis would mean there would be no government intervention. It also means that the government makes its decisions based on the market place not whats good for the people.
ReplyDeleteI believe that if the United states operated as pure capitalism there would possibly be no taxes. I also believe that it any government assistance anymore because the government wouldn't have much revenue.
ReplyDeleteGood thoughts! Watch grammar

DeleteIf the United States operated as pure capitalism, there would be no say-so from the government. If there was no intervention from the government, people could sell products for as much money as they would like. Also, many of the things that are now illegal to buy and sell may not have been made illegal under a pure capitalist society.
ReplyDeleteGreat reply!
DeleteAn economic and political system in which a country's trade and industry are controlled by private owners for profit, rather than by the state. If the United States operated as pure capitalism we wouldn't have a government.
ReplyDeleteI feel that if the United States operated as a capitalism, there would not be as much order between different businesses and in the economy. People would be able to make any decisions they want with most likely no consequences and things would probably not have an much order and organization as they do now.
ReplyDeleteIf the United States operated as pure capitalism we wouldn't have alot of the emergency departments that we have such as police, firefighters.
ReplyDeletebusiness will cache in different was. business will not be the same.
ReplyDeleteGood start Spencer - watch spelling/grammas
DeletePeople would be in charge instead of the government helping with some things. It would be a pretty big change in my opinion and may not be what would best suit our country.
ReplyDeleteA economic and political system is not owned by the government not by the state. their wouldn't be owner's of the sate instead of the government which would lead too something bad.
ReplyDeleteI agree. Watch spelling/grammar
DeleteThe economy wouldn't be at where its at now, because the private owners would make the trade would be higher than what it's worth. The US would be in complete uproar and the business would be able do what it pleases.

DeleteIf the United States operated as pure capitalism, there would be a lot of problems. Without government intervention there would be more conflict, brutalities, and emergencies.
ReplyDeleteI feel that there would be more problems then there is now. People would get out of hand and think that they can do whatever they feel.
ReplyDeleteIf this were to occur in the United States it would allow anyone to sell anything to anybody. The majority of economic resources would also be privately owned. Also it would cause very little or no government intervention no matter what the outcome will be.
ReplyDelete1. Individual owners wouldn't be free to decide what to produce with the resources. Economic resources would be privately by the government.
ReplyDeleteIf the United States was pure capitalism then the government wouldn't be involved in our economy. There would be way more private enterprises if the USA was pure capitalist.
ReplyDeleteIf the government was capitalist it would be more fair. Also the government wouldn't be so involved.
